Membership Restrictions
Official policy states that accounts that have not accrued mileage for 18 consecutive months might be closed and all mileage would be forfeited. As of January 2007, this policy has never been enforced.
Flight Mileage Accrual
Fare basis
Earn miles on published fares excluding free tickets, charter flights, travel industry/reduced-rate tickets or promotional certificates.
Minimum miles
Continental Airlines and most partners: Earn 500 minimum miles.
Class of service bonuses
Continental Airlines and Northwest Airlines: First class, business class or BusinessFirst: 50% bonus. Alaska Airlines: first class: 50% bonus. Most international airline partners: business class: 25% bonus. KLM, Copa, flybe, Azteca and Air Europa: business class: 50% bonus. Mileage Purchase
Members with mileage balances near an award threshold are able to purchase miles to add to their remaining balance and redeem them for award travel in conjunction with a booked itinerary. Members may purchase up to 25% of required miles for award redemption on Continental Airlines flight awards requiring at least 20,000 miles. The cost is US$25 plus tax per 1,000 miles.

Mileage Statement
Statement sent approximately every eight weeks to members with activity; approximately every four weeks to elite-level members regardless of activity, or can be accessed online.
Mileage Expiration

Missing Credit
Visit www.onepass.com/mileage-request to submit online or send written request to Mileage Deposit, OnePass Service Center. Include all applicable flight documents or partner receipts. If E-ticket, provide a copy of your E-ticket receipt and original boarding pass. Mileage requests must be submitted within six months of activity, or within 90 days for elite bonus credit.

Award Expiration
Award tickets are valid for one year from issue date, unless otherwise stated.
Award Redemption
How to redeem
To request an award ticket, call the appropriate Continental award desk and provide membership number and PIN.
How long it takes
Awards will be processed within 10 days for award tickets on Continental; 14 days for award tickets on alliance or airline partner. Domestic awards can be sent instantly via E-ticket. Non-U.S. residents may require longer mailing times.
Where tickets are issued
Mailed to member's address on file.
Expedited Award Delivery
For award certificates/tickets expedited in 4-48 hours: US$75 fee; 2-7 days (2-10 for international): US$35 fee. 4-day delivery: US$40 fee, plus US$20 per additional award. All fees waived for Platinum members.
Transferability of Awards
Awards may be transferred to anyone at time of award issuance by the person whose name appears on the certificate. Certificates can be transferred by a Continental ticket agent only.
Changing an Award
Changing dates or destination: Within 4-14 days: US$50, US$35 for elite-level members; within three days or less: US$75, US$50 for elite-level members; PTA (Prepaid Ticket Authorization): US$100. New tickets will be subject to the original award expiration date. Partner awards: Airline partner award changes must be made at least 10 business days before travel begins. Redepositing miles: Return unused tickets to the service center for a fee of US$50, US$35 for elite-level members.
