The Contract of Carriage is the primary document governing the terms and conditions of travel on United Airlines. Specifically, it contains the basic rules and procedures governing valid fares and routes (including forbidden ticketing policies such as hidden-city ticketing, etc.), United's responsibilities in terms of providing services in a timely fashion and/or protection of the passenger during irregular operations, cancellation allowances and fee waivers, and other basic travel policies.
United periodically revises its Contract of Carriage. The current contract and all known/available historical revisions are as follows:
