INVOLUNTARY DENIED BOARDINGS *IDB* ARE BP1/BP2 CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE A CONFIRMED RESERVATION ON THE FLIGHT AND DECLINE OUR REQUEST TO RELINQUISH THEIR RESERVATION/ SEAT AND ARE NOT ACCOMMODATED ON THE FLIGHT. THIS NOW APPLIES TO ALL UAX PLANES 30 TO 60 SEAT CAPACITY BY RULE WE ARE NOT REQUIRED TO COMPENSATE PASSENGERS WHO ARE BUMPED INVOLUNTARILY DUE TO WEIGHT/BALANCE RESTRICTIONS WHEN REQUIRED BY OPERATIONAL/SAFETY REASONS. IDB COMPENSATION ONE HOUR RULE: IF CUSTOMER IS PROTECTED ON A FLIGHT THAT IS SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE AT THE CUSTOMER*S NEXT STOPOVER OR DESTINATION WITHIN 1HOUR OF THE SCHEDULED ARRIVAL TIME OF THE ORIGINAL FLIGHT UNITED IS NOT REQUIRED TO COMPENSATE THE CUSTOMER. HOWEVER THE CUSTOMER SHOULD BE GIVEN A $100 TRAVEL CREDIT...NOT A FREE TICKET.
