Note: Members qualify for elite-level status based on Medallion Qualification Miles ("MQM") — a multiple of the distance traveled and fare purchased. Frequent flyer members can earn MQMs on Delta, Delta Connection, Delta Shuttle, SkyTeam partners, and Alaska Airlines. SkyTeam partners currently include Aeroflot, AeroMexico, Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and Korean Air.

Silver Medallion: For members who earn 25,000 MQMs or 30 MQS during a calendar year on qualifying Delta Air Lines, Delta Shuttle and Delta Connection Carriers, and SkyTeam partner flights. Benefits include:

  • 25% flight mileage bonus on Delta and SkyTeam Alliance flights.
  • Priority waitlist status.
  • Special check-in privileges for Delta and SkyTeam Alliance flights.
  • Preferred seating.
  • Preferred boarding for Delta and SkyTeam Alliance flights.
  • Unlimited complimentary upgrades when available.

Gold Medallion: For members who earn 50,000 MQMs or 60 MQS during a calendar year on qualifying Delta Air Lines, Delta Shuttle and Delta Connection Carriers, and SkyTeam partner flights. Benefits include the above listed, plus:

  • 100% flight mileage bonus on Delta and SkyTeam Alliance flights.
  • Access to Frequent Traveler Security lines where available
  • Same-day confirmed fee waiver and same-day standby option
  • SkyTeam Elite Plus Status.


Platinum Medallion: For members who earn 75,000 MQMs or 100 MQS during a calendar year on qualifying Delta Air Lines,Delta Shuttle and Delta Connection Carriers, and SkyTeam partner flights. Benefits include the above listed, plus:

  • In-flight VIP travel assistance.
  • Admittance to Delta and SkyTeam international airport lounges when travelling internationally.
  • Priority baggage handling on international flights more than six hours long.
  • Platinum Medallion Systemwide Upgrade Certificates, which are good for confirmed upgrade on domestic or international flights. However, availability on international flights is severely limited, and they are only good on Y, B, or M fares for most international flights. The cheapest fare to Europe on which you can use these coupons is often around $2,000. The same holds for South America or Asia.
  • Access to the Medallion Marketplace


Diamond Medallion: New tier launched in 2010 to reward HRPs (high-revenue passengers). Includes all of the Platinum benefits plus several new features. For members who earn 125,000 MQMs or 140 MQS during a calendar year on qualifying Delta Air Lines, Delta Shuttle and delta Connection Carries, and SkyTeam partner Flights. Benefits include the above listed, plus:

  • 125% flight mileage bonus on Delta and SkyTeam Alliance flights.
  • Complimentary SkyClub membership

Million Miler Program: For members who accrue one million or more MQMs. Benefits include the above listed, plus:

  • Lifetime Silver Medallion status for members who earn one million miles
  • Lifetime Gold Medallion status upon accruing two million miles.
  • Lifetime Platinum Medallion status upon accruing four million miles.
  • Exclusive thank-you gift (choose from Hartmann, Tiffany's)
  • Priority handling customer service toll-free line in North America.
  • Million Miler luggage tags.
